The Strangers Project

Event Title

The Strangers Project

Brandon Doman debuts The Strangers Project for the first time in Canton in Center Court from February 3 - 15, during mall hours.

Join Brandon during the opening reception, hosted by Bravo! Cucina Italiana, Saturday, February 3 in Center Court from 2-4 p.m.

The Strangers Project was developed in 2009 to create connections for people through an ongoing collection of real-life, anonymous stories. In just under a decade, he has collected more than 30,000 stories throughout the country in public spaces like Belden Village Mall using stacks of paper, clipboards and a lot of pens.

The Strangers Project will exhibit 100 curated stories from the project’s overall collection. At the Saturday reception, visitors and guests will meet Mr. Doman, hear him speak about the project and then explore and read the personal, anonymous stories collected through the project clothespinned to strings. From the opening evening through Thursday, February 15, all Belden Village Mall shoppers and guests are welcome to contribute a story from their own life on the paper provided at the exhibit.

All local stories will be reviewed by Mr. Doman and have an opportunity to be added to the exhibit on Center Court from Saturday, February 3-Thursday, February 15, for the public to read. After Thursday, February 15, the stories will be added to The Strangers Project’s collection.

Event Date:
